Yes, I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted a new entry. This is because I’ve been in the Dominican Republic on a mission trip! God did so many amazing things through the lives of the youth that went on the trip. I’m so blessed to have been able to return to that amazing country with some of the kindest people I’ve ever met. Although unlike last time i brought my camera with me on the trip!
Here are some photographs of some of the natural beauty of God creation.
These pictures of rocks, river, and other wildlife were taken in mist of a picturesque landscape, surrounded by majestic mountains, lush trees and flowers, and the sound of rushing waves. Before embarking out on our adventure to the mountains we listened to Pastor Brian Johnson speak about God’s creation. He read from Psalms 98, where it speaks about God doing marvelous things and how his creation reacts with praise in result of this. This is some of the most beautiful scripture in describing the earth and how it cannot help but to praise God out of pure Joy of having Him as its creator.
Psalms 98 (NIV)
1 Sing to the LORD a new song,
for he has done marvelous things;
his right hand and his holy arm
have worked salvation for him.
2 The LORD has made his salvation known
and revealed his righteousness to the nations.
3 He has remembered his love
and his faithfulness to Israel;
all the ends of the earth have seen
the salvation of our God.
4 Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth, for he has done marvelous things;
his right hand and his holy arm
have worked salvation for him.
2 The LORD has made his salvation known
and revealed his righteousness to the nations.
3 He has remembered his love
and his faithfulness to Israel;
all the ends of the earth have seen
the salvation of our God.
burst into jubilant song with music;
5 make music to the LORD with the harp,
with the harp and the sound of singing,
6 with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn—
shout for joy before the LORD, the King.
7 Let the sea resound, and everything in it,
the world, and all who live in it.
8 Let the rivers clap their hands,
let the mountains sing together for joy;
9 let them sing before the LORD,
for he comes to judge the earth.
He will judge the world in righteousness
and the peoples with equity.
As I was editing these pictures and re-reading Psalms 98 a song called The Earth is Yours by Gungor popped into my head! I encourage all of you to listen to this song as it also has a great message of God creation.
Throughout this week I encourage you to take some time out of your busy schedule and step outside and look at God beautiful creation.
